ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് കമന്റ് കേസായി; മുഹമ്മദ് ഷിയാസ് എംഎൽഎയെ അപകീർത്തിപ്പെടുത്താൻ ശ്രമിച്ചയാൾ പിടിയിൽ

കൊച്ചി: : മുഹമ്മദ് ഷിയാസ് എംഎൽഎയെ സമൂഹമാധ്യമത്തിൽ അപകീർത്തിപ്പെടുത്താൻ ശ്രമിച്ചയാളെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. കൊല്ലം പെരിനാട് ചന്ദനത്തോപ്പ് സ്വദേശി കെട്ടിടത്തിൽ വീട്ടിൽ എസ് മുഹമ്മദ് റഫീഖ് (51) എന്നയാളാണ് പിടിയിലായത്.

മട്ടാഞ്ചേരി പൊലീസാണ് ഇയാളെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്. തോപ്പുംപടി സുറിയാനി പള്ളിയിലെ പെരുന്നാളിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് എം.എൽ.എ തൻ്റെ ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് അക്കൗണ്ടിൽ പങ്കുവെച്ച പോസ്റ്റിന് താഴെയാണ് ഇയാൾ അപകീർത്തികരമായ കമൻ്റിട്ടത്.

എം.എൽ.എയെയും കുടുംബത്തെയും അവഹേളിക്കുന്ന രീതിയിലായിരുന്നു കമൻ്റെന്ന് പൊലീസ് പറയുന്നു. പരാതിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ മട്ടാഞ്ചേരി പൊലീസ് കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തു.

പിന്നീട് കൊച്ചി സിറ്റി പൊലീസ് സൈബർ സെല്ലിൻ്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ കേസിൽ അന്വേഷണം നടത്തി. മട്ടാഞ്ചേരി അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് കമ്മീഷണർ അജിത്ത് കുമാറിന്റെ നിർദ്ദേശം അനുസരിച്ച് ഫോർട്ട് കൊച്ചി സർക്കിൾ ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ വിബിൻ ദാസിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലായിരുന്നു അന്വേഷണം.

എസ്.ഐ സന്തോഷ് കുമാർ, സിവിൽ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ ജിജോ ജോസഫ്, രതീഷ് ബി. എന്നിവരടങ്ങിയ സംഘമാണ് പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടിയത്.
