പാലക്കാട് : ( www. ) പട്ടാമ്പിയിൽ ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസിന് തീപിടിച്ച് അപകടം. തീ പടരുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ട ഉടനെ ഡ്രൈവർ വാഹനം നിർത്തി യാത്രക്കാരെ പുറത്തിറക്കിയതിനാൽ വൻ ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായി.

ഷോർട് സർക്യൂട്ടാണ് തീപിടിത്തത്തിന് കാരണമെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നി​ഗമനം. ബസിന്റെ മുൻഭാ​ഗം പൂർണമായി കത്തി.

പുലർച്ചെ 4.30ഓടെയാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. പട്ടാമ്പി - പെരിന്തൽമണ്ണ റൂട്ടിൽ മത്സ്യമാർക്കറ്റിന് സമീപം വച്ചാണ് തീപിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്.
