കാസർകോട്: ( പനത്തടി സെക്ഷൻ പരിധിയിൽ മ്ലാവിനെ വേട്ടയാടിയ ഒരാൾ അറസ്റ്റിൽ. സിദ്ദിഖ് എം.എച്ച്. (50) ആണ് പിടിയിലായത്. പനത്തടി സെക്ഷൻ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർ എം.പി. രാജുവിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള വനം വകുപ്പ് സംഘമാണ് അതിസാഹസികമായി പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടിയത്.

സംഭവസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്ന് നൗഫൽ, സുബൈർ എന്നീ രണ്ട് പ്രതികൾ ഓടിരക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. 40 കിലോയോളം ഭാരമുള്ള മ്ലാവ് ഇറച്ചിയും ഒരു തോക്കും ഉണ്ടയും പ്രതിയുടെ കൈയിൽ നിന്ന് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തതായി ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർമാർ അറിയിച്ചു. കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറേ മാസങ്ങളായി ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ വനം വകുപ്പ് പ്രത്യേക നിരീക്ഷണം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.

പനത്തടി സെക്ഷനിലെ പനത്തടി റിസർവ് വനമേഖലയിൽ കാട്ടൂർ കൂപ്പ് ഭാഗത്ത് വന്യമൃഗ വേട്ട നടക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് റേഞ്ച് ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർ കെ. രാഹുലിന് ലഭിച്ച രഹസ്യ വിവരത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലായിരുന്നു പരിശോധന.പനത്തടി സെക്ഷൻ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർ രാജു എം.പിയും ബീറ്റ് ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ പ്രകാശൻ വി.വി., വിമൽ രാജ് ഡി., വിനീത് വി., പ്രവീൺകുമാർ ജി.എസ്., ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ബീറ്റ് അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് സുമേഷ് കുമാർ എം.എസ്. എന്നിവരും ഉൾപ്പെട്ട സംഘം പുലർച്ചെ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തുകയും, ചാക്കിലാക്കിയ ഇറച്ചിയുമായി വന്ന മൂന്ന് പ്രതികളെ കാണുകയും ചെയ്തു.

പ്രതികൾ ഓടിരക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതിനിടയിലാണ് സിദ്ദിഖിനെ പിടികൂടിയത്. അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത പ്രതിയെ റേഞ്ച് ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർ കെ. രാഹുൽ മുമ്പാകെ ഹാജരാക്കുകയും തെളിവെടുപ്പ് നടത്തുകയും മ്ലാവിന്റെ തലയും ഉടലും സംഭവസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. തുടർന്ന് ഡിവിഷണൽ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർ ശ്രീ. രാജീവൻ എം. പ്രതിയുടെ മൊഴി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. ഒളിവിൽ കഴിയുന്ന ബാക്കി രണ്ട് പ്രതികൾക്കായുള്ള തിരച്ചിൽ ഊർജിതമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. വന്യമൃഗങ്ങളെ വേട്ടയാടുന്ന സ്ഥിരം വേട്ട സംഘമാണ് ഇതെന്നും ഫോറസ്റ്റ് അധികൃതർ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

Kasaragod: One arrested in case of hunting sambar deer under Panathady section limit. Forest department team led by Panathady Section Forest Officer M.P. Raju caught the accused adventurously. Siddique M.H. (50) was arrested. Two other accused, Noufal and Subair, fled from the spot. Forest officers informed that about 40 kg of sambar deer meat, a gun and bullet were seized from the accused. For past several months forest department had kept special surveillance in this area. Inspection was based on secret information received by Range Forest Officer K. Rahul that wildlife hunting was happening in Kattoor coop area of Panathady Reserve forest in Panathady section. Team including Panathady Section Forest Officer Raju M.P. and Beat Forest Officers Prakashan V.V., Vimal Raj D., Vineeth V., Praveenkumar G.S., and Forest Beat Assistant Sumesh Kumar M.S. reached spot early morning and saw three accused coming with meat in sack. Siddique was caught while accused tried to flee. Arrested accused was produced before Range Forest Officer K. Rahul, evidence collected and head and body of deer found from spot. Then Divisional Forest Officer Sri. Rajeevan M. recorded statement of accused. Search for two absconding accused intensified. Forest officials clarified this is regular gang hunting wild animals.
