കുടുംബത്തെ തനിച്ചാക്കി ഷാൻ...! കാസിൽബാറിൽ മലയാളി യുവാവിനെ താമസസ്ഥലത്ത് മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി, ഹൃദയാഘാതമെന്ന് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം

ഡബ്ലിൻ: ( www. ) അയർലൻഡിലെ കൗണ്ടി മയോയിലെ കാസിൽബാറിൽ മലയാളി യുവാവിനെ താമസസ്ഥലത്ത് മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. കൊല്ലം കൊട്ടാരക്കര ചക്കുവരയ്ക്കൽ കവലയിൽപുത്തൻവീട് ഡി. മാത്യുവിന്റെയും മറിയാമ്മയുടെയും മകൻ ഷാൻ മാത്യു (38) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.

ഷാന്റെ ഭാര്യ ദീപ്തി മയോ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ജീവനക്കാരിയാണ്. അയർലൻഡിലെത്തുന്നതിന് മുൻപ് ഇരുവരും ഡൽഹിയിൽ നഴ്സുമാരായി ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഏതാനും വർഷങ്ങളായി അയർലൻഡിലെ ലിമറിക്കിൽ ആരോഗ്യ മേഖലയിലായിരുന്നു ഇരുവരുടെയും ജോലി.

ദീപ്തിക്ക് മയോ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ജോലി ലഭിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് ഏതാനും മാസങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപ് ഷാനും ദീപ്തിയും കാസിൽബാറിലേക്ക് താമസം മാറ്റിയത്.

സെപ്റ്റംബർ എട്ടിന് പള്ളിയിൽ പോയി ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത ശേഷം ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞ് താമസസ്ഥലത്ത് തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ ദീപ്തി ഷാനെ ഫോണിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെടാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും പ്രതികരണമുണ്ടായില്ല. തുടർന്ന് താമസസ്ഥലത്ത് നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് ഷാനെ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

ഷാന് നേരത്തെ ചില ശാരീരിക അസ്വസ്ഥതകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായും അറിയുന്നു. ഉറക്കത്തിനിടെ ഹൃദയാഘാതം സംഭവിച്ചതാകാം മരണകാരണമെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം.

ഷാനും ദീപ്തിക്കും രണ്ട് മക്കളാണുള്ളത്. മീവൽ ഷാൻ (9), എലിയേസർ ഷാൻ (7) എന്നിവരാണ് മക്കൾ.

Dublin: A Malayali youth was found dead at his residence in Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland. Deceased is Shan Mathew (38), son of D. Mathew and Mariamma of Kavalaiputhan Veedu, Chakkuvarakkal, Kottarakkara, Kollam. His wife Deepti works at Mayo University Hospital. On September 8 after attending church service, when Deepti returned home in afternoon and tried to contact Shan over phone and failed, she found him dead at residence. He had some physical discomfort earlier. Preliminary assumption is heart attack during sleep. Children Meeval Shan (9) and Eliezer Shan (7) are currently in Kerala. Family wishes to bring body home for funeral and arrangements are underway.
