According to the IMD, the system was located approximately: * 30 km south of Sagar Island (West Bengal) * 70 km east-southeast of Digha (West Bengal) * 90 km south of Diamond Harbour (West Bengal) * 110 km south-southwest of Canning (West Bengal) * 120 km east-southeast of Balasore (Odisha) Likely to Make Landfall This Afternoon The latest IMD forecast indicates that the Deep Depression is expected to move in a north-northwesterly direction over the next few hours. It is likely to cross the West Bengal–North Odisha coast between Balasore and Canning by this afternoon.

Advisory Issued Under the influence of the Deep Depression, West Bengal and Odisha are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, strong winds, and rough sea conditions along the coast.
