പേരാമ്പ്ര: (കോഴിക്കോട്) അടിപിടി കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് മേപ്പയ്യൂർ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് വിളിപ്പിച്ച ആളെ തിരികെ വീട്ടിലെത്തിയ ശേഷം തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. ചെറുവണ്ണൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ആവള കുട്ടോത്ത് പൂവില്ലോത്ത് പറമ്പത്ത് വിനോദൻ (48) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. വീടിന് സമീപത്തെ പറമ്പിലാണ് മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

മുതുവണ്ണാച്ച സ്വദേശിയായ വിനോദൻ ഭാര്യയുടെ നാട്ടിലാണ് താമസം. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രാത്രി ഭാര്യയുടെ ബന്ധുവുമായുണ്ടായ തർക്കത്തെ തുടർന്നാണ് മേപ്പയ്യൂർ പോലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയത്. തുടർന്ന് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ ഹാജരാകാൻ നിർദ്ദേശിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഈ സമയത്ത് പോലീസ് തന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ പെപ്പർ സ്പ്രേ അടിച്ചതായി വിനോദൻ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നുവെന്ന് പഞ്ചായത്തംഗം സജീവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

കണ്ണിന് അസ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ വിനോദൻ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പോയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും തിരക്ക് കാരണം ഡോക്ടറെ കാണാതെ നേരെ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്നു. സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ ഹാജരായി വീട്ടിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

അതേസമയം തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാത്രി വിനോദൻ കത്തിയുമായി അക്രമാസക്തനായതിനെ തുടർന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ അറിയിച്ചതനുസരിച്ചാണ് വീട്ടിലെത്തിയതെന്നാണ് മേപ്പയ്യൂർ പോലീസിന്റെ വിശദീകരണം. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പരാതിക്കാരും വിനോദനും സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ ഹാജരായി സംസാരിച്ച ശേഷം പരാതിയില്ലെന്നും കേസെടുക്കേണ്ടതില്ലെന്നും അറിയിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് രമ്യതയിൽ പിരിഞ്ഞതായും പോലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

Perambra: A man who was summoned to police station in connection with a scuffle case was found hanging after returning home. Deceased is Vinodan (48), Puvilloth Parambath at Avala Kuttooth in Cheruvannur panchayat. He was found in a field near his house. Vinodan, native of Muthuvannacha, was staying at his wife's place. It is said some issues had occurred with wife's relative previous night. Following that Meppayur police reached spot and directed to appear at station on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile panchayat member Sajeevan said Vinodan had said police sprayed pepper spray in his eyes. He was found hanging after returning home after appearing at Meppayur station on Tuesday morning. He had also gone to hospital in morning due to eye discomfort. As it was crowded he went to police station without seeing doctor. Meppayur police says they went to house on call from locals after Vinodan turned violent with knife on Monday night. On Tuesday complainants and Vinodan appeared at station. Police clarified that after discussion complainants said no complaint and no need to register case and they parted amicably.
